Here are a few more images from Gaby & Robert’s Prom session a couple of weeks ago.
I just couldn’t help myself!!
I could not be more happy with how these turned out!
Thanks to the both of you for being so outgoing and fun! Enjoy!
Thanks you two for making my job so easy! <3
Before I go on a spontaneous trip this week, I wanted to share a sneak peek of Gaby and Roberto’s prom session from this weekend. They both attend Arvin High School and Gaby is graduating in less than TWO MONTHS!! I remember being that close to graduation and I was a mess! Glad to see Gaby can keep herself composed and remember to take it all in before high school is over.
Gaby & Robert, I had so much fun shooting you guys on Saturday! You were a blast to be with and absolutely adorable together! Can’t wait to share more images with you guys! Please, enjoy your sneak peek!
Hope you had a wonderful time at prom!
I had the pleasure of shooting Gloria’s Quinceañera last weekend and I couldn’t wait to blog some of her images. She is such a stunning young lady and made my job shooting her birthday so easy!
[What is a quinceañera? Well, a quinceañera is a coming-of-age birthday party in the Hispanic culture that is very similar to a sweet-sixteen, except it's when they young woman turns 15. It is a special moment and is always cause for a huge celebration! Of course, a lot of family and friends are involved in the day and there is a lot of food and fun to be had!]
Gloria, you are an amazing young lady, lover of God, and wonderful being. I am so proud to be able to call you a friend. You are like a rare gem and one in a million. Any guy will be lucky to have you! Thank you for being so amazing!
Please enjoy the images below of Gloria, her family, and friends.
Praying for a long and fruitful life following Jesus’ footsteps. <3
What a gorgeous face!! Gloria, you’re STUNNING!
Her beautiful bouquet:
Isn’t her dress just perfect!?!
Thank you Gloria for the opportunity to spend the day with you! I had so much fun! Remember, it’s your beautiful life, I just capture it! Blessings! <3
Don’t you just love Friday’s? It’s always a day to look forward to. The gateway to the weekend. Any special plans this weekend?
I am super excited since I am shooting a very special event this weekend, a Quinceanera, and I am looking forward to it so much. Let’s just hope the rain stays way long enough for me to get some stunning images! Either way, we will rock it out!
Being that it’s Friday, I decided to continue with my FIF installments so here is today’s Fix-It-Friday post brought to us again by I Heart Faces!
Please enjoy this beautiful image shot by Angie Arthur of her stunningly beautiful daughter. Again, I did not shoot this portrait, Angie did, so go on over
and show her some love!
Here is the original image, Straight Out Of Camera (SOOC):
Here is my edited version:
The original version, SOOC, as beautiful as it is, was a little washed out for me so I livened up the colors a bit and that was it. The image is stunning as is so I was happy to adjust the levels a bit and I loved the result.
Here is a B & W edit done by Rachel Durik.
How do you like the B&W in comparison to the colored images? What percentage of images do you think should be in B & W per collection?
I’d love to hear what you think.
Head on over to the I Heart Faces page and check out over 100 other edits
of this wonderful image.
It has been so hard to watch tv these days and see all that is happening to our friends and family in Japan. I have no words to say but many prayers to send and I hope you will all join me in prayer tomorrow for a day in silence, just for Japan.
Please go to this website and click on the top, right-hand corner to donate what you can to help. Join me and hundreds of other bloggers in tomorrow’s Bloggers Day of Silence, hosted by Ever Ours and Utterly Engaged.
Beginning at 10:46 PM (PST) / 2:46 PM Japan’s time, in rememberance of Japan, I will be silent on my blog/twitter/facebook. #ForJapanWithLove
I am so excited to finally be able to say this: MY WEBSITE IS LIVE!
Please go to La Vie Jolie Photography and let me know how you like it! It was definitely a labor of love. I changed so much, edited some more, then tweaked even more before today but I am so glad to be able to say that this is a true representation of what my business is about. I want it to say classy, elegant, and glamorous and I feel it truly represents what I went out for. There are no words to describe the feeling of accomplishment as I pressed publish last night. After many long nights and many, many hours of work, I am so happy to show the world my portfolio of work that is only growing day by day.I am not 100% done but I keep promising to prospective clients that my site was coming so I figured, might as well show what I have so far since it is so close to being complete.
This is a perfect moment to show my appreciation to my past clients, to my family, and to all of my supporting friends. I am blessed to have each and every one of you in my life. There are no words to describe the feeling of appreciation that I have in my heart and I than you all for your patience and your continual support!
Here are a couple of screenshots of the new site! Again, I am still working on it so if you have any recommendations or suggestions, feel free to leave a comment or shoot me an email!
